NSW: Vanuatu plane set for take off from Sydney
An Air Vanuatu airliner that made a safe emergency landing at Sydney's airport yesterday
afternoon will continue its flight today.
The flight from Melbourne to Vanuatu, with 107 people on board, was diverted to Sydney
after a tyre tread was found on a Melbourne runway shortly after its take-off.
An inspection after the plane landed in Sydney confirmed that a tyre had burst.
Before the plane landed at Sydney airport, it made a low fly-past so that its landing
gear could be viewed from the ground.
The plane landed safely with emergency services standing by.
